Jefferson Market Branch Library Tower, October 2005
As part of openhousenewyork weekend 2005, Christie and I lined up in the rain to get a super-rare glimpse inside the tower of the New York Public Library's Jefferson Market Branch in Greenwich Village. The building (designed in part by Vaux of Central Park fame) was once considered one of the most stunning pieces of architecture in the U.S., and the view from the fire tower was great, given the miserable weather outside.
